Vedra House – Brdovec, Croatia
This beautiful 150 m2 family home, is located 20km from the center of Zagreb in a quiet green area, in the close vicinity of historical sites like Jelacic palace and Luznica mansion.
Space
This country family home is ideal for traveling families although it can also be enjoyed by friends.
It has a big open living space and three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, garden, and parking. The bedrooms consist of 2 master bedrooms and one children bedroom complete with toys and books. Amenities for a baby – baby cot, high chair, baby toilet seat and potty are also available. If there is anything else you need we will do our best to provide it upon request.
The kitchen with all its condiments is at your disposal. It features a dishwasher, an oven, and a microwave, as well as a toaster and kettle. There is a dining table in the kitchen that seats ideally 6 persons. However, there is also a bigger dining table in the dining area which seats up to 10 people.
This home was decorated to provide maximum comfort and a home away from home feel.
Guest access
While staying at Vedra-House, our guests are invited to also visit our animal ranch a mere 7-minute car drive from the house. There you are welcome to explore all the pets (cats, dogs, Vietnamese pigs) and farm animals (ducks, chickens, ponies) or have a nice forest walk.
Interaction with guests
We love to feel at home when we travel and that’s what we wish for our guests as well. So depending on your preferences, if you wish to be on your own and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area, you are welcome to. If you need any help or wish to know anything about the area or country we’ll be happy to share what we know. Basically, the level of interaction depends on you 🙂
Location
The house is located 20km from Zagreb city center, 5km from Zapresic city and 6km from the Slovenian border.
The surrounding offers a rich historical cultural heritage – a number of palaces all in a 5km perimeter (Luznica mansion, Jelacic palace, Laduc mansion, Janusevec palace). Over the Sava river is the picturesque small town Samobor – definitely worth a visit. The Slovenian old city Brezice is a 14km drive away where you can visit palace Bizeljsko or go for a whole day kid fun at Terme Catez waterpark.
If you are more into nature, this area offers beautiful forest walks.
For those fond of shopping, Westgate – the biggest shopping mall in the country is a 10min drive away.
Getting around
To explore Zagreb it is best to board a local city train going from here to the city center – a mere 25-minute train ride and you are in Downtown Zagreb city center with no worries about parking or getting around.
Otherwise, it is easiest to reach us by car.
